Whitey  -  13 Years Old

Whitey and her Sister, Stripey found us back in 2012 and were living in the woods behind our house. There was a third sibling, a TWIN to Stripey that we lost due to uneducated advice from a TNR vet in Medina. They were initially Feral and over several months they found out what LOVE was and today they are Awesome Loving Family Members. Whitey is Always seeking attention and lots of pets. She loves to be loved, loves to cuddle when we are lounging in our chairs or laying down in bed. (Picture in TREE)

Stripey  -  13 Years Old

Stripey, Sister to Whitey, is a very UNIQUE individual. Unlike Whitey, No One, except for Paul can hold her, and that only occurs when Paul is loving on and holding others in the same room, then she wants held as she becomes jealous.  Once being held (for as long as I want), Stripey Blisses and Drools and we exchange many face rubs in the process.  Otherwise there is NO Handling her, not even to the vets without major battle wounds on the humans. However, she WILL accept Treats from my wife !! (Mother Pictures)

Charlie  -  Approximately 6 Years Old

Charlie (female), a transfer from a rescue on 2/2/2022. Upon capture, fur was badly matted and she had Pyometra (infection of uterus). Once transferred, Major Dental Surgery (13 teeth 5/16/22) and in  1/9/24 she became critically sick with a combined Feline Herpes, Mycoplasma & Elevated Coronavirus. Between 5 vet visits and a 2 1/2 day hospital stay she has pulled through. Charlie is one of the Most Loving, Affectionate, Caring & Thankful Cats that we have EVER come across !!  (Video)

Tellie  -  2 Years Old

Tellie was an "Emergency Rescue" from PNC Bank in Orrville, Ohio. Seventy minutes before a PEOPLE PACKED downtown for our annual parade.  She was 10 weeks old, eyes goopy & shut, had fleas (See Pictures) and severe digestive/bowel issues. We drove through closed streets and the opposite direction of the parade route to get her. We did get a round of applause from all the folks waiting for the parade to start when we picked her up.  After 6+ months of vet visits, chiropractic care and prescription food, she turned out to be a wonderful cat, loving and playful!!  Tellie also loves sleeping on the bed at night.

Sophie  -  16 Years Old

Sophie was one of THREE cats we did an emergency intake for as their only option virtually everywhere was to be euthanized since they were all 13+ Y.O. Sophie is mother to Woolley & Mouse. The owner took Sophie while pregnant with Mouse & Wooley and became a FOSTER FAIL keeping all three. Unfortunately, the owner passed away in July 2022.  All three needed major dental work and immediate care.  We have since lost Mouse to Lymphoma in May 2023. Sophie LOVES to Cuddle and Lay next to you PURRING the entire time EVERY chance she gets!! Sophie is a HUGE Love Bug!! Woolley  -  15 1/2 Years Old

Woolley (son of Sophie) was one of THREE cats we did an emergency intake to avoid being euthanized due to age. Woolley however, went from a LOVING cat with his original owner to a very withdrawn cat with lots of hissing & swinging/batting at us, with no desire for human interaction from 8-19-2022 when we took them. On 8-18-23, Woolley got VERY SICK. After dragging him to the vets fighting me, he FINALLY realized I was helping him. During his sickness he accepted us. Now we are the best of buds, doing head butts together, kisses & lots of Love now!!

Sneakers  -  12 Years Old

Sneakers is ONE of THREE FIV Positive cats we have that LIVE WITH all of our cats with No (See Pics) Problems.  Sneakers is approx. 50% deaf. He found us at our home many years ago.  We SNUCK up from behind, outside, near the woods, breaking branches as I walked up to him and he never heard a thing.  Having FIV, he has had health challenges  with lots of expense. He has 3-4 times a year a lymph node (left side of face) that swells up and needs vet care.  He absolutely LOVES to lay on LAPS, Cuddle Times, he's Very Playful and LOVES licking Gravy off cat can lids every morning.  He LOVES US so much!!

Chuckers  -  3 Years Old

Chuckers is a Rescue Transfer (10-11-23).  He was originally caught for TNR but later was found to being abused where he came from.  If you just raised your hand SLOWLY towards him, he would "cow-down", find a corner and look at you as "please don't hit me".   He also had SEVERE digestive/bowel issues that since mid January 2024 have cleared up with a special diet.  Chuckers FEARS are as of 3-31-24 gradually getting over. We are able to Love him, BELLY RUBS/KISSES on the belly & double back scratch.  We are working on being able to pick him up and hold him over TIME!!  (See Video)

Boots  -  11 Years Old

Boots just SHOWED UP many years ago, skin on bones and just plain pitiful!! So what did we do?? FED HIM (over 3 months he gained 5 more pounds), and that's all it took!!  Boots has a very unique personality, Very Loving, super soft for a male short haired domestic cat.  He loves to give you Powerful "Bunny Feet" and yet NEVER ejects his nails out when he does this.  He LOVES a lot of PETS/Attention and gives you LOTS OF KISSES in the process.  At midnight when I tuck these guys in for the night, he's at the front of the line for the night time LOTS of TREATS!!  (Video of Boots)

Blackie  -  12 Years Old

Blackie showed up at our home shortly after we moved to Orrville in 2012.  We THOUGHT she was a kitten, but after we were able to catch her, she was a "runt" kitty.  She was living outside most likely until we caught her.  She was Very Small and Very Light Weight.  It took a few years for her to grow into the size she is today, approx. 8lbs.  She is ONLY a 2 person kitty, but super soft, Loves to be Held & Cuddled, and especially LOVED ON. Blackie loves to play with lots of toys & laser light/dot, loves her YEOWWW Catnip toys and plays well & gets along great with the other cats too.  (See Picture)

Abby  -  Approximately 9 - 10 Years Old

Abby is a Very Unique DAT (not cat). We think she is a dog trapped in a cat's body.  Plays Fetch, Very Klutzy and when she jumps from the counter onto the floor it is like 100lbs landing. Late Fall 2014, Abby just waltzed into my wife's practice, walked in/out of the patient rooms and landed in the billing office and curled up on a Laptop for warmth.  At the end of the day she came home with us and the rest is history.  Abby is Very Loving, Loves to Lay on your Lap, chase laser lights, play with toys and sleep on our bed at night.  Abby loves to eat and is also a member of the CLEAN PLATE CLUB!!  (See Pictures)

MoJo  -  10 Years Old

Mojo is 1 of 3 cats from a mother cat that was euthanized for having FIV (2013). His  Sister TIGGER and his Brother Smokey (See Picture). We raised them from kittens and two are still with us.  We LOVE black cats and this MoJo is all Black, Super Soft with just a FEW White Hairs on his upper chest area.  Although Mojo does not like to be held much, he LOVES to cuddle on the floor and his PURR ENGINE has no muffler.... It is Super Loud.  He likes to play and chase lasers as well as playing FETCH with those Plastic Springs.  When in Cat Trees, he LOVES to Nuzzle you and give Kisses !!

Michelle  -  Approximately 5 Years Old

Michelle is a BONDED Pair (pic) with Barry.  Transferred in from a Stark County Rescue in May 2022.  That rescue had them for I believe 2 years as Michelle was withdrawn and not a social cat.  They tried various options to pull her out of it and no real success.  Once we got Michelle, it took several months for us to "Win Her Over". She lays by Paul while he works in the office, LOVES to be scratched, double hand long pets & Michelle even allows Paul to kiss her AND her Belly!! She is STILL Very On-Guard with other people except for Paul & Kris.  She is such a Sweet, Adorable & Gorgeous Feline!!  (See Picture)

Barry  -  Approximately 5 Years Old

Barry (brother to Michelle) is a short hair gray cat versus Michelle who is long haired, Super Fluffy and SOFT.  Barry was not anywhere near withdrawn as Michelle was, but overall was cautious for a long time. When these two were rescued, they had just recently lost their mother & a sibling to the best of our memory.  NOW... Barry LOVES for you to walk up to him, especially in cat trees and wrap your arms around him, nuzzle him and pet his BELLY until he tells you to STOP, which is never!!  He LOVES TREATS and TRIES to steal the other cats treats if given the opportunity!!  (See Video)

Koal  -  11 Years Old

Koal AND Tortie (See RIP Picture at the very top of this page) came to my wife's practice on a COLD & WINDY winter day (2015) and kept hanging out at the door where patients would come in.  So after a DAY of getting in the way.... we brought them home where they wound up adopting us!! Koal is a Medium Haired black cat that is Full of Personality and LOVES to talk and answer your questions almost every time. Koal loves for you to look at him and ask questions where he gives short to long meows.  Loves playing, being petted and kissed on, yet he is one cat that YOUR LUCKY to hold for 30 seconds or less.  (See Picture)

LaLa  -  Approximately 5 Years Old

LaLa was Transferred in from a Stark County Rescue in May 2022.  She is SMALL for her age and most likely a runt.  LaLa really lacked social skills and was not "people friendly" when we took her.  Initially for the 1st year, she would "Socialize" with us a LITTLE, but from at least a 3'-5' distance.  Today, even though we STILL can't pick her up, we can do double handed pets/scratches, head rubs and yet she will come up to us and do figure-eights on our legs all the time and sit very close or next to us. I BELIEVE in another year or less and her WATCHING me handle all the other cats, as she has, that I will be able to HOLD HER!!  (PIC)

Jethro  -  16 Years Old

Jethro & Ellie Mae (who we just lost March 9th, 2024) were best buds.  We took these two from the WCHS in Nov. 2010.  Jethro is a large tiger cat, Full of Personality and TONS OF LOVE.  Jethro LOVES to lay on your lap, your chest, over your shoulder and ANY PLACE he can feel WARM and LOVED for HOURS.  If you say TREATS, he is there in record time to get them.  At night time, Jethro is an "Equal Opportunity Kitty"  Sleeping at the head or feet of Paul & Kris, faithfully, every night within 5-10 minutes of going to bed!! Jethro is truly a BIG Lover Kitty and will PURR you to Sleep!!  (See Picture)

Hi-Rise  -  Approximately 5 Years Old

Hi-Rise was Transferred in from a Stark County Rescue in May 2022. This poor guy was fearful, scared and HIDING under bedding all the time from the rescue we took him from.  Once I saw him, we (Paul & Hi-Rise) just KNEW.  We got him back to our place and the first four days he HID and then it was all over... Hi-Rise CHANGED virtually overnight.  He LOVES being "Fussed Over" and seeks us out daily several times to be picked up and held and LOVED!!  He is SUPER SOFT, Long Haired and shows us SO MUCH LOVE in return!! Hi-Rise just plain MELTS YOUR HEART!!  (See Picture)

Grayson  -  Approx:  7 or 8 Years Old

Grayson showed up in early July 2018 on a Saturday night, CRYING at the top of his lungs in our Row of Trees.  We coaxed him out and were able to pick him up.  He was STARVING, so we fed him and took him to the Vets that Monday.  He was ALREADY Fixed and Declawed in the front.  Grayson was SO GRATEFUL and has shown his appreciation EVERY DAY.  He is SO LOVING, a HUGE Cuddle Bug  and comes to bed with us EVERY NIGHT within 30 Seconds or less and stays all night!!  He gives us SO MUCH LOVE and it is SO EASY to Love Him Right Back !! Such a Personality he has!!  (See Pictures)

Garfield  -  Approximately 12 Years Old

Garfield is a Very Wise & Smart Cat.  It took us TEN MONTHS to capture him and we had DAILY (Pics) ATTEMPTS (he did not want to be touched).  It took a Major Snow Storm (10"), we SKIPPED a Feeding intentionally so he would be more hungry and finally when we did feed, we were able to nab him and throw him into our home. After that, within 5 MINUTES, we could hold him and cradle him like a baby, Go Figure!!  Garfield since then, is a Very Gentle, Warm Loving, gets along with ALL cats, Soft & Fluffy and Absolutely Wonderful Cat. Garfield Loves Belly Rubs, Lots of Pets and Kisses and LOTS of TREATS !!

Tyson  -  Approximately 5 Years Old

Tyson, a Large Tiger Cat, was Transferred in from a Stark County Rescue in May 2022. We were told he was initially Rescued from a Construction Site where he was more than likely abused.  At the rescue, he was caged and becoming severely depressed, which we saw first hand. After a few weeks with us (not caged) he started turning around for the good.  Today, he is just a "Big Push-Over".  Loving Life, Loves roaming our house with the other cats, hanging out with the FIVE other cats (his family) we transferred in May 2022 from the same rescue. Ultimately, Tyson now is a Major Lover Boy !!  (Video of all 6 Transfers)

Tigger

Tigger is 1 of 3 cats (See MoJo's Bio). These THREE CATS (when Smokey was living) was the typical three child family (1 girl - 2 boys) Tigger (female) had to always keep these boys in-line, although after we lost Smokey, you could tell they were sad and wondering what happened to Smokey, as she would always look for him.  Tigger is the little "Huntress" and loves to play and chase.  She has a very sweet personality and loves to be nuzzled, talked to, and get extended two handed back & side scratches/pets. Tigger is one who wants and gets a BUFFET of TREATS every night, so we spoil her!!  (Pics of all Three)

Rogue  -  Approximately 5 Years Old

Rogue, one of six Cats, who was Transferred in from a Stark County Rescue in May 2022.  We can't recall WHY Rogue was not a candidate to be returned from his original TNR location, but he caught our eye when we were at the rescue that day. Rogue was a typical "Rescue Cat" to start with, but shortly after we took him he became the "Most Appreciative and Thankful Cat" we have ever come across !!  (See Video Clip)  Rogue TODAY... is the most Loyal, Obedient, Loving, Absolutely Adorable, Most Huggable, Super Cuddly, Highly Affectionate with SO MUCH LOVE that is Totally Unconditional!!

Skidders

Skidders showed up a month after we captured Garfield.  In the dead of winter and during this time of capturing Skidders our temperatures were ranging 20's - 30's for highs and -5 to 10 at night. We placed a SNOW MAT outside and plugged it in for heat and one night around 11pm & 10 degrees, Skidders was sitting on the mat and allowed me to just pick him up, after TRYING for a month!!  Skidders is his own independent unique cat, ALLOWS kisses, pets, (Pic) scratches and will play with you.  Not Keen on being held but tolerates it. He knows his name and does well with our other cats.  He is somewhat skittish!!

Nuzzles

Nuzzles showed up on July 26th, 2023 STARVING, yet hesitant to allow us to approach him.  We placed food out (Purina Pro Plan) and after stepping back, he came and ATE the entire can. 5 1/2 hours later he was allowing us to love on him. (See Video) By far, Nuzzles was our EASIEST capture. On July 28th, we placed food in a CARRIER and he walked right in !! The Rest is History!!  Nuzzles is a little hyperactive, but ALWAYS seeks your attention by "Nuzzling" your legs, arms, hands or face to get your attention and love.  He is a True Cuddle Bug, Loves Playing with the other cats and LOVES out Outdoor Habitat for them.

Lilly

Lilly was a 4 week old kitten that showed up at the same time as Nuzzles, but NOT related.  Lilly was a little Fireball and Pistol to catch and yet she was STARVING.  It took TWO days to get her and she growled and hissed all the way.  However, once we caught her she turned into a little MUSHPOT. (See Video).  We were fortunate with this one and found a friend who had JUST FOUND a KITTEN and wanted a "Buddy" for theirs to grow up with. We took care of her for six week and she was adopted from us on September 17th, 2023.  Today, she is doing WONDERFUL.  (See Facebook Post) 

Strong

STRONG is an appropriate name!!  September 8th, 2023, this 4 week old kitten who was HIT by a VEHICLE, Lost use of his Bowels, Bladder and TAIL. Had Fleas, Roundworms, Tapeworms Severe Giardia, Digestive Issues and Constant Diarrhea. It took until Mid January to get him mostly healed.  (See Video) TODAY, he requires $4 per can food and $12 lb dry food (prescription) but digestive and normal stools are good.  Tail has only about 50% use.  He has the BEST Personality, Loves to give AND receive love, PLAYS HARD, Loves to play FETCH and living life to the fullest.  As of April 2024 he is 8 months old.
