Microchip Services

If you choose to have this done, each microchip contains a registration number and the phone number of the registry for that particular brand of chip that will be used. A special handheld scanner can read the radio frequency of that chip and it will display the owners ID information. An animal shelter or veterinary clinic that finds your pet can contact the registry to get your name and phone number.

  Spay/Neuter Services

By spaying/neutering your cat, you will help control the worlds homeless pet crisis. Each year millions of healthy cats and dogs are being euthanized in the U.S.. This is due to there are not enough homes for them all ! There are also actual medical benefits by performing this service:

For females: they typically will live longer and healthier lives. Helps prevent uterine infections and/or breast infections which could be malignant or cancerous, which for cats can be up to a 90% occurrence possibility.  If you can get your female cat spayed before her first heat cycle, this is the best protection from these illness/disease risks.

For Males:  Helps to reduce outdoor roaming territories (if living outside) around 80%. Also helps prevent testicular cancer as well as some prostrate problems.

  Wellness Exams

A wellness examination is a complete physical examination along with diagnostic testing (if necessary) that may include blood work, urinalysis, and checking a stool sample for parasites. In many cases, a wellness examination can help detect the early stages of diseases. We would especially recommend this for felines that are older or nearing Senior Age.

Whether you have kittens or adult cats, We can help you figure out which vaccines are best and how often your kitty/cat should get shots. This will usually depends on their age, overall health, and lifestyle conditions.  Also, local and state governments have laws about vaccines like rabies, which we have to comply with.

When to give vaccines. If they are Kittens they should start getting vaccinations when they are 6 to 8 weeks old until they are about 16 weeks old. Then they must receive "boosters" again a year later. The shots come in a series every 3 to 4 weeks. Adult cats need shots less often, usually every year or every 3 years, depending on how long a vaccine is designed to last.

Which shots will they need? Some vaccines are recommended for all cats. They protect against:

  • Rabies

  • Panleukopenia (also known as feline distemper)

  • Feline calicivirus

  • Feline viral rhinotracheitis

  Emergency & Sickness Care

It is never fun when your loved one (cat) gets sick, or has an accident of some type. Unfortunately there are many diseases your cat could contract right down to the common, snotty colds. It is really important for you to understand what signs and symptoms to look for, and more importantly how you can help to prevent your cat from getting certain avoidable diseases.  Click Here for an informative website about this.  We hope to have hours available six days a week for such appointments to serve you.  Our goal in the future will be to have 24 hour emergency care as we grow.

  Dental Care

Dental disease is a major reality for many domestic and feral cats. Between the ages of 3-4 years old, many cats will have significant gingivitis and even have periodontal disease. It is usually slow in progressing but gets very serious and causes significant pain and affects the overall health of your cat. Many cats may not show signs of oral discomfort until it is very advanced and they are in extreme pain. The pain that is associated with dental problems comes slowly over time and cats will simply learn to live with it, which can cause additional health issues down the road. That is why it is so important that all cats annually have their oral health assessed. We can provide those services.

Some good websites about Dental and Gum Disease are HERE and HERE.
