Gets along with Cats:  During our time with Hi-Rise, he has been with 5 other cats and several others visiting at his screen door.  We have not noticed any aggression, hissing or swatting towards them. Hi-Rise has come a LONG WAY from when we accepted him from a Rescue we have partnered with.  He was ALWAYS hiding under his blankets and basically not wanting much human interaction.  Shortly after we brought him to our place, within four hours of working with him, he has not hid since. Hi-Rise DOES like to interact with our other cats, and does get into playful horsing around modes with the cats, but has never bit them.  Hi-Rise Loves to chase laser lights and play with toys and catch some sun rays in the window.

Overall Temperament:  Hi-Rise is a overall is a "Sweet, Super Soft, Long Haired Cat" !!  Loves to be talked to and shown lots of attention. Hi-Rise loves to be play with using his toys and is a true hunter.  Hi-Rise DOES have a FEAR when thunderstorms are going on and he wants to HIDE.  Typically we talk with him and pet him to let him know everything is OK. Under normal circumstances, Hi-Rise likes to be petted, but not for real long periods of time.  He will let you know when it bothers him with a gentle pat on your hand/arm with his paw. We feel he would make a GREAT CAT companion for someone who primarily just wants a cat to talk with, care for and play with.  Probably will NOT be a lap kitty, but might wind up laying next to you over time as you earn his trust. Currently, he will come and lay down close to us as we spend time with him.  We feel he would be best in a calm, quiet household which will aid in his continued progress we have made with him. A second cat/pal would be ok we feel, based on how well he gets along with the other cats currently.

Of course with any cats, ours in particular, there will need to be a transitional time for them to adjust to a brand new environment (your home/family).  Lots of patience, LOVE, Care and Understanding needs to be given to them in order for them to EARN TRUST with their new family over time. The CATS we accept from Rescues that we have Partnered with, typically have had a Very Hard/Rough/Abusive life up to the point of their capture.  WE, at Catify, work with these cats for at least 30-90 days to earn their trust and show them the love they need !!
